We recognize that many people are fatigued by virtual meetings and workshops so the BCTLA decided to offer some additional incentives for registering at our conference this year. We’re offering some fun activities to connect with our colleagues and multiple opportunities to win prizes. Who doesn’t love winning free stuff?! If you or your colleagues haven’t registered for the conference yet here are a few reasons to do so:
- BCTLA Social on Thursday, October 21st at 7pm. First, awards for some superb Teacher-Librarians across BC and then it’s time to play the mother of all book quizzes, presented by the BCTLA’s Quizmaster, Keely Thornton. Are you ready to get nerdy with some book trivia? Play individually or play with a friend. Prizes for the winners!
- Photo Booth Contest -Use the conference photo booth app to create a memorable photo. Share for a chance to win prizes.
- If you register by Friday, October 8th, you will be entered for an early bird draw for a $50 gift certificate to the book store of your choice and a chance to win free registration to next year’s conference.
- Vendor Letter Hunt -Find 9 or more letters at our conference vendors and you are entered in the draw for a chance to win 1 of 6 prizes.
- Vendor Word Find -A word will be put into the chat at some point during the vendor’s session. Attend a minimum of two sessions and find two words to enter for more prizes.
