The BCTLA has released an official plan to support the re-opening of school library learning commons spaces. These guidelines provide ideas that can, in collaboration with site administration, be followed during the re-opening process.

  1. Will there be an updated document for September? Or use this document for guidelines?

  2. Hi Laura. As you can see there haven’t been any major changes with the Provincial COVID-19 Communicable Disease Guidelines for K-12 Settings document as of the August update. Essentially, there’s no change to LLC guidelines from the end of last school year. The most important thing to note is that there are no recommendations for books to be isolated for a period of time or sanitized after being returned. This will hopefully make LLC start up easier this year.
