The Sedin Family Foundation is offering a grant for early chapter books. The google form has been created for applications, and BC Teacher-Librarians are welcome to apply on behalf of their school. The Sedin Family Foundation is offering a $10,000 donation, split into twenty $500 grants to BC school libraries for the purchase of early chapter books.Books purchased should focus on bridging the gap between picture books and novels in elementary school libraries. These books would be for transitional readers from Grades 2-4, who are beginning to read on their own. Teacher-Librarians that receive this funding will purchase early chapter books.
To apply for this grant, Teacher-Librarians should complete the following grant application and submit it by April 1, 2018.
Successful grant applicants will be notified by May 1, 2018.
The Sedin Family Foundation will be selecting the recipients.
